چکیده مقاله:

Phytoremediation is the use of green plants to clean heavy metal contaminated areas. The aim of this study was to investigate the zinc phytoremediation by Ferula assa-foetida plant . After identification of plant samples collected, the samples were prepared for analysis. The amount of Zn, electrical conductivity, pH was measured and the ability of plant samples for zinc uptake and accumulation by calculating the biological concentration factor (BCF) and translocation factor (TF) were studied. It is also observed that the amount of exchangeable zinc elements in soil ranges from ۱۳۲ to ۱۴۴ mg / kg dry weight. The average pH of soil samples was determined from ۷.۸ to ۸.۹. Also, the results showed that the highest average amount of zinc in grasshopper was ۱۴۸ mg / kg in roots, ۷۳ mg / kg in air and ۱۲۴ mg / kg in soil. Bioavailability factor (BCF) plants are more than one and less than one transfer factor (TF) is suitable for plant fixation. Studies have shown that bioavailability factor in Ferula assa-foetida ۱.۲ and transfer factor is ۰.۵. Therefore, Ferula assa-foetida plant is the most suitable species for phytoremediation of zinc contaminated soils.
