چکیده مقاله:

Post-combustion concepts based on chemical absorption process has been extensively studied as one of themain carbon capture and separation technologies. This work focuses on the creation of an Aspen plus Chemicalabsorption and cryogenic processes. Separation processes have been carried out over ۲۰۰۰ kmol/h flue gas flow rate, and MEA concentration of ۳۰wt%, for ۹۵% CO۲ capture. In the chemical absorption, effect of several parametersincluding molar flow rate of solvent, absorber pressure, solvent temperature, absorption column stages, mole fractionof CO۲, and molar ratio of solvent in the inlet flue gas were studied on the efficiency of CO۲ absorption. Also influenceof stripper stages and stripper parameters were examined on the reboiler duty. In the cryogenic separation technique, process design carried out based on the flash temperature and pressure. The effect of absorber and stripper stages onthe CO۲ loading was also evaluated. The regeneration energy for absorption process was ۳۱۳۸ GJ/h while the requiredenergy for cryogenic technique calculated as ۱۰۷۵×۱۰ GJ/h. Results revealed that the preferred technique for CO۲capture due to the low energy consumption and low cost of steam in Iran, is the chemical absorption using ۳۰wt% MEAcompared with cryogenic separation.
