Association of blaPER-۱ gene with quorum sensing and virulence factors in clinical Acinetobacter baumannii isolates

چکیده مقاله:
Background and Aim : Acinetobacter baumannii is a gram negative opportunistic pathogen that is an important source of infections and one of the pathogens in patients hospitalized in the hospitals for a long time particularly in Intensive Care Units (ICUs).Methods : ۷۰ isolates from clinical different samples were collected.The antibiotic resistance pattern was evaluated based on the standard laboratory (CLSI). Analyzed the presence of blaPER-۱, LuxR, LuxI, pld and ptk by polymerase chain reaction.Results : Based on the results, all isolates had ۱۰۰% resistance to ciprofoxacin, imipenem, rifampin and cefotaxime, whereas resistance to meropenem and amikacin and were ۹۸.۶% and ۸۱.۷%. The frequency of genes was Pld ۱۰۰% , LuxI ۸۵.۷% , ptk ۸۰%, LuxR ۷۵.۷% and blaPER-۱ ۶۴.۲%. Twenty-one isolates had coexistence of these six genes. We detected simultaneous presence of blaPER-۱ gene with each of genes LuxI, LuxR, Ptk and pld in ۳۸, ۳۴, ۳۶ and ۴۵ isolates, respectivelyConclusion : There was no association between the presence of blaPER-۱ gene and each of LuxI, LuxR, Ptk, and pld genes.
