Synthesis and Studying the Properties of Barium Hexaferrite Prepared with Barite Ore

Barium hexaferrite (BaFe۱۲O۱۹) has shaped the research within current paradigms due to the fastadvancing capacities and its low cost of production and numerous usages as permanent magnets, highdensity recording devices, magnetoelectric, multiferroic, electronic component for wireless communication, speaker components, electric motors, microwave devices and recently as catalysts among others. A number of studies have synthesized BaFe۱۲O۱۹ using pure laboratory chemical compound that are the expensive in acquisition that reduce the production. As an alternative, this paper,synthesized of BaFe۱۲O۱۹ using mining compound Magnetite Ore and another pure laboratory chemical compound. Mechanical alloying and final heat treatment were applied for the experimental technique. The experimental result depicted an outstanding saturated magnetization of ۶۵emu/g of the single phase BaFe۱۲O۱۹ that is applicable like microwave absorber nonetheless it’s with low coercivity.
