چکیده مقاله:

In this paper, we investigate the effect of using the fogg system on the performance of a FRAME ۵ gas turbine unit in Zahedan gas power plant. The output power of power plants decreases in summer due to limited ambient temperature. The increase in temperature in the city of Zahedan in the summer season sometimes reaches ۴۰ ℃, and with this temperature, the output power of the gas turbines of this power plant decreases by approximately ۱ MW. Due to this decrease and electricity demand in summer season, the use of fogg system for cooling the air of the compressor inlet has been used. In addition to increasing the turbine output power, other benefits of the cooling system such as reducing fuel consumption, increasing efficiency were also considered. Cycle efficiency increased by approximately ۰.۷%. The fogg system and water treatment system have a very high cost of repairs and maintenance. It costs about ۲,۶۴۰$ for a warm season. Therefore, using the fogg system for other hours of the day (non-peak) is not recommended due to the high cost of maintenance and abundant water consumption.
