Nano-bioadhesives for Human Body

Recently, nanotechnology has started to make impressive advances in biomedical applications, including bioadhesive based newer drug delivery systems and wound healing. Nano-bioadhesive based drug delivery systems involves the use of nanometer carriers to deliver drug molecules by using the bioadhesive to the required site. Nanotechnology also allows the production of multifunctional bioadhesives for the application in tissue healing and reinforcing. Herein, bioadhesives are classified according to their main purpose, and the effect of nanotechnology on each of these purposes is discussed separately.
