Comparison of its motivational beliefs among students with disorders of depression and non –depressed students

چکیده مقاله:

Aim: in the present study, comparing Meta cognitive beliefs and self - differentiation among depressed and non - depressed students of surgery room and radiology department of Kermanshah paramedical school were investigated. Methods: in terms of purpose, research is descriptive and in terms of data collection method ali was a comparative study. The population of study was students of operating room and radiology department of Kermanshah paramedical school in ۹۰۰۳ - ۹۰۰۰ academic years. all students of the study room were selected by convenience sampling method and the short form of meta cognition questionnaire ( mcq - ii ) , short form of beck depression inventory ( bdi - ii ) and self - differentiation inventory ( dsi ) were used . Multivariate analysis of variance ( manova ) was used to analyze the data . Results: the findings showed that there is a significant difference between two groups: depressed and non - depressed groups in terms of scores of metacognition and differentiation. There was also a significant difference between mean scores of metacognition and differentiation and their components in both depressed and depressed groups. According to the statistical results, the depressed group received more scores from the non - depressed group. The non - depressed group also gained more scores in self differentiation. Conclusion: the results of the study showed positive and negative metacognitive beliefs and self - differentiation in creating symptoms of depression. Overall scores of metacognitive beliefs play an important role in predicting depressive symptoms.
