چکیده مقاله:

Thermoplastic Composites are promises to fulfil the need of various applications such as aerospace and automotive industries where requiring higher mechanical properties, vibration damping and matrix recyclability. Recently, the novel poly-blends are a convenient method to develop thermoplastic matrix with desirable properties. However, compatibility and miscibility of these materials are most important challenge to use as a matrix. This research shows how to prepare the compatible and miscible TPU/Terpolyamide poly-blends (TPU/Terpolyamide: ۹۰/۱۰, ۸۰/۲۰, ۷۰/۳۰, ۶۰/۴۰ wt.%) by solution mixing. The theoretical analysis of compatibility by the concept of Hansen and Hildebrand solubility parameters and SEM photographs show the good compatibility could occur between the TPU hard segments and Terpolyamide. ATR-FTIR results illustrate that the presence of Terpolyamide promoted the formation of new hydrogen bonds. When the Terpolyamide ratio is ۳۰ and ۴۰ wt.%, TPU/Terpolyamide poly-blends are miscible and suitable for using as a composite matrix.
