چکیده مقاله:

Proton exchange membrane fuel cells are important class of fuel cells in which a polymeric membrane uses for transportation of protons between anode and cathode. The common membrane utilized for a proton exchange membrane fuel cell is a Nafion membrane that is a perfluorosulfonic acid membrane. Despite Nafion shows many advantages like high proton conductivity and mechanical strength, it has important disadvantages which cause extensive efforts to substitute it with a better proton conducting polymer, this paper studies these alternative polymer families in details.
