Antibacterial effects of methanolic extract of Citrus aurantium against Edwardsiella tarda and Loctococcus garvieae

In this study antimicrobial activity of methanolic extract of Citrus aurantium was investigated according to CLSI standard and the results were evaluated based on inhibition zone diameter (IZD), minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) . The result of study identified that methanolic extract of Citrus aurantium has a good anti-bacterial effect against Edwardsiella tarda and Loctococcus garvieae, and it can be used as a natural and non-toxic chemical compound for controlling common diseases among humans and aquatic animals.
