Electromagnetically induced transparency metamaterial

A metamaterial structure composed of two copper ribbons exhibiting Electromagnetically Induced Transparency effect is reported in this article. The transparency characteristics are investigated by numerical simulations. The electromagnetic field evolution over the transparency window is also presented.The simple design of the introduced metamaterial waveguide opens the door to a quick and accurate realization of EIT – like effects.
