Study of Some Geometry’s Common Patterns in the Carpet (as one of the major fine arts in world) and Iranian Architecture

In the Iranian Islamic architecture, the existence of geometry as a principle has produced valuable and magnificent works over time and these properties are often founded in Islamic Iranian architecture phenomena. In this research, we have investigated some of the geometrical principles in Islamic Iranian architecture, also have studied thesis expression and influence in the Iran carpet. The main question of this research: What are the geometricprinciples in the Islamic Iranian architecture and how are these principles manifested in the Iran carpet? In this study, some geometrical patterns such as symmetry, circle, square and rectangle have been investigated thoroughly and compared in Iranian carpet and architecture. The results of this research showed that in the Islamic Iranian architecture were used geometry in theirs plan just like that in the carpet, this pattern of design and geometricprinciples have been taken always into consideration, and the full manifestation of geometry in Iranian handmade carpets were evident also, and this commonality of thought has given rise to the idea of Iranian artists and carpet weavers.
