Micro grid protection coordination in both performances the connection to network and island

In this paper, is expressed the problem of optimal Micro grid protection coordination in both performances the connection to network and island. with presence of distributed generation. Also the Protective devices are over current relays. The above problem is an optimization problem whose objective function is minimizing the relay operation time in the event of an error in the network. Also, its constraints are the limits of the Setting parameters of the over current relay and the appropriate distance between the operation time of the main and backup relays. It is worth noting that this problem is a mixed integers nonlinear problem which to solve this problem is used the optimization of MATLAB software. Finally, the above mentioned problem is applied to ۳۰-bus IEEE network, and then is investigated the capability of proposed problem.
