چکیده مقاله Design and simulation of a radial active magnetic bearing with the aim of controlling its vibrations for high-speed operation

Magnetic bearings are a good substitute for common bearings that without physical contact and the use of lubricants provide the conditions for shaft rotation during very high speed rotation. The most important thing about magnetic bearings is vibration at the beginning and at the end of the rotation. In the previous studies, 3 or 8 magnetic poles for bearing design have been used. In this paper, a magnetic bearing with 12 poles is designed to use maximum magnetic force for rotor stability. The PID control system that its parameters have been selected through the PID Tuner tool are used to eliminate vibration and unbalancing of rotor. By simulating the movement of this bearing in the Simulink section of MATLAB software, optimal results were obtained that reduced the vibration range and shortened time to the rotor's equilibrium, as well as the stability of the closed loop system. Also, by examining the changes in the independent parameters, the effect of each parameter on rotor displacement was shown.
