چکیده مقاله:

Epidemiological studies show that ambient air pollution is currently an important health issue from an individual and public health perspective. Each person is exposed to different concentrations and types of air pollutants throughout their lives. An adult has been found to inhale 10 to 20 cubic meters of air daily, depending on body structure and physical activity. In a pregnant woman, respiratory adjustment during pregnancy leads to a significant increase in the volume of air breathed and more oxygen consumption. Although the health effects of prolonged exposure to air pollution have been well established, the aim of this study was to investigate the effects of airborne pollutants that cause abnormalities during pregnancy. The results show that there is a significant relationship between exposure to air pollution during pregnancy and its adverse consequences, especially fetal growth and gestational age.
