چکیده مقاله:
In previous investigations, a number of different approaches have been proposed to describe the optimal locations and capacities of dispersed generation (DG) as a means of guaranteeing that the maximum amount of DG can be tied to existing and future networks. In spite of this, there are intrinsic restrictions in these approaches, not least in gaining the best arrangement of sites for connecting a predefined number of DGs. This paper presents a novel approach combining optimal power flow (OPF) and differential evolution algorithm (DEA) with the aim of encountering this requirement. Its use would be in allowing distribution companies (DISCOs) to investigate a network for the best sites and capacities available to advantageously connect a predefined number of DGs among a large number of probable combinations. Some applications of the proposed method verified its usefulness in sizing and sitting an assigned number of DG units
