چکیده مقاله:
The benzoimidazoquinoline core is one of the most important heterocycles since it has not only found widespread applications in medicinal chemistry and drug synthesis but because it is also broadly used in material science.1 Consequently, it has attracted considerable interest for synthetic chemists and stimulated the development of numerous methods for their preparation.2 Hearin, we report synthesis of benzoimidazoquinoline derivatives 2 from the intermolecular reaction of 2-(1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)-3-phenylacrylonitrile 1 in the present of I2/KI as catalyst in DMSO solvent (Fig. 1). All synthesized compounds are stable solids whose structures were determined on the basis of 1H and 13C NMR and IR spectroscopic data.
