چکیده مقاله:

Man is created as a social being and has to interact with other people to achieve his physical and mental needs. In the past, people's social interactions in the living space were among the public spaces that existed between the houses and the neighborhoods they lived in. But in the contemporary era, despite the vertical connections that have been created in residential complexes of the last century, the lack of spaces for these interactions is quite felt. Not paying attention to this basic human need, i.e. interaction with others, can cause irreparable damage to the individual and society. The main purpose of this research is to find ways to solve problems related to the promotion of social interactions in open and semi-open spaces of residential complexes. Considering the problems related to the lack of open spaces to promote the social interactions of the residential complexes, achieving ways to eliminate these factors as well as methods and points that can somehow be effective in improving the quality of the open spaces of the complexes are among the important issues addressed in this study. The research hypothesis is based on the fact that residential complexes have different open spaces (semi-public and public) and these spaces should meet the needs of users. However, in the past years the design and construction of residential complexes, has been such, that it greatly reduced the opportunity to incorporate ideas of traditional and user-friendly architecture in them. This causes various problems among the inhabitant of these residential complexes, which include cultural diversity, cultural conflict, weakness in proper social relations, population density, and etc.
