Water consumption strategies: a case study of Tehran

This paper outlines the necessity of careful consideration and control of water demand as a vital component of the integrated water resources management. In particular, the paper introduces water conservation strategies for the water consumption problems being existent in Tehran, and highlights the engagement of managerial roles with the society to establish the water efficiency planning. The research is an attempt to explore the role of system thinking in the water consumption management whilst considering cultural and technical aspects in order to maintain the water consumption level at an optimal point
