Clinical Nursing Education in Post-Corona Education: A Prospective Program

Introduction: With the Corona epidemic outbreak in early 2020, nursing education in all university centers was suspended. Moreover, considering that in an applied field such as nursing, clinical education is the heart of nursing education, in which students learn clinical nursing skills and become professionals. As a result, clinical nursing education discontinuation causes graduate nurses to lack the necessary clinical competence, knowledge, and skills. Therefore, this study investigates the need to institutionalize virtual reality and augmented reality in the clinical education of nursing students in our country.Methods: This study is a review study that was conducted in 1399. This study is an overview of keywords clinical education, virtual reality, coronavirus, nursing students to search the Pub Med Scopus, and WOS databases, taking into account the period from 2010 to 2020 and limiting to full-text articles and only original and review articles and English language search. . Articles were evaluated in terms of quality using relevant checklists. Results: By searching the databases, no articles were found on the use of virtual reality in nursing education during the coronation period, and when only 16 articles were found from the keyword Virtual reality "AND" nursing education, "deleting duplicate articles and reading the title Articles and Import Related Articles 12 articles remained. Studies show that virtual reality provides an opportunity to increase students' confidence and competence and provides accessible and reproducible learning opportunities for nursing students in a safe environment and the variety of tasks, Health responsibilities, and situations that nurses face when working with patients. This method is the most effective, least harmful, and most efficient educational method to provide the necessary knowledge and skills correctly, accurately and entirely during Passes practical training Conclusion: According to the articles' results, it was found that policymakers should provide virtual education infrastructure for the training of nursing students in the post-corona world to train professional and qualified personnel. Instructors in the field of conceptualization, design, integration, and research in virtual reality technology need to be involved in clinical education programs for undergraduate students.
