چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: In recent decades, rapid advances in information and communication technology have significantly impacted nursing education. As members of the health team, nurses should be trained to provide patient-centered care with an emphasis on evidence-based practice, quality improvement methods, and informatics. Since technology can be used to improve the quality of care, this study aims to conduct an integrated review and combination of existing studies on the impact of informatics on nursing education. Methods: In the study of texts in the years 2000 to 2020, various databases such as SID, Irandoc, Google Scholar, PubMed, Medline, Scopus, Cochrane Library, Science Direct were searched with the keywords informatics, nursing, and education. Whittemore and Knalf used a modified version of Cooper's five-step integrated review; these steps include: problem identification, literature search, data evaluation, data analysis, and finally presenting the content. Results: The results were presented in two parts: the advantages and disadvantages of using informatics in nursing education. Among the benefits of informatics in nursing education can be full access to students, providing a chance to socialization through participation in group activities, gaining experience in interdisciplinary teamwork, understanding the importance of research and evidence-based nursing, increasing student technological literacy, gain up-to-date knowledge from the research and, ultimately, the improvement in the level of nursing care. Its disadvantages can be said that educators are not aware of students' educational needs, proper training, and use of what has been learned. Nursing educators do not seem to be able to create a caring environment in online education; thus, they Can't positively impact the useful field of nursing education. Training in psychomotor skills or other activities may also be problematic in online training, but audio-visual technology is a solution. Conclusion: Based on the results of the literature review, it can be said that the use of technology in nursing education and training on how to use computers and informatics has increased students' psychological and psychomotor skills in using software and hardware and can provide the assurance that In nursing care, these skills will be used and communication with other people through the Internet will improve nurses' attitudes toward the nursing profession. Also, the use of technology and informatics in nursing education will have a broad impact on the care system's upgrade.
