Considering that the training of nurses does not end at the university and should be continued continuously during professional activities, and due to the high workload of nurses, the use of new teaching methods is essential. Web-based education is a new process in education that has an influential role in distance education in nurses. The present study was conducted to investigate the impact of web-based education on nursing education. Methods: This study was conducted in 1399 by reviewing the texts in PubMed, Science Direct, SID, and Irandoc databases with the keywords nursing education, distance education, learning, and web-based education in the period 2007 to 2020. they got. Articles that could not be accessed in full, duplicate, and unrelated articles were excluded from the study.Results: Out of 56 articles reviewed, ten were included in the study. Web-based learning that on the one hand, provides quick and easy access to a large amount of information without time and space for learners and on the otherhand, reduces costs, reduces time wasted and does not interfere with training time with nurses' working hours, Is a suitable method for continuous training of nurses because it increases productivity, reduces errors and occupational accidents and improves the quality of nursing care. One of the limitations of this teaching method is the lack of directface-to-face interaction and the inadequacy of providing some nursing lessons that require practical training. Conclusion: Web-based education is a useful tool for nursing educators to provide quality education, remove traditional education limitations, and provide easy and flexible learning. To provide a suitable platform for developing web-based education, design educational programs such as workshops to raise awareness and the ability to use web-based education, increase Internet access and equip educational spaces, cultural background, and motivate nurses.
