Patient technological education

The subject of software design to provide physicians advice and help them make treatment decisions has been started for many years. Due to the small number of nurses and the lack of time and the need to use software to assist them in care decisions, developing and designing specialized software to help this vital issue seems necessary. Since no software has been designed to provide advice to nurses or educate patients in the country, the design of such a system is useful and practical for the patient, and users can be used as a complement to nurses' care decisions. Moreover, be considered education. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to design software for the technological education of patients.Methods: After reviewing the literature in the field of research literature and using the opinions of experts and specialists in the field of nursing and IT in 1397, software design was done in three stages:Creating a database of data including medical diagnoses and related nursing care (Phase I: Diabetes and hypertension) based on the latest care and educational standards Designing intelligent software to provide care training based on the nursing process (assessment, problem diagnosis, planning, care, and evaluation)To pilot the program evaluation, the relevant software was installed on several systems and prepared for use in at least three hospitals. The evaluation method is user-based.Participants in the study were 30 nurses and patients.Results: Some of the most important findings of the study include improving care through personalization of training so that reading and understanding them through software is elementary, the simplicity of working with the software allows patients to access the required information in a few seconds, saving time and money and the possibility of guiding patients by nurses at any stage of the care spectrum to receive further training.Conclusion: Due to the severe shortage of skilled nursing staff and society's growing needs, the need to design a complete information system based on the necessary knowledge and skills that can provide independent counseling and educational services to patients in a short time has increased.
