The effect of Tele Nursing care on clients' self-care in the field of coronavirus prevention

Introduction: Prevention plays an important role in preventing Covid 19. Telecommunications technology in nursing is a way to teach care advice, follow up, and improve patient care. This study aimed to determine the effect of telenursing on clients' self-care in Kerman in the field of coronavirus prevention and follow-up via text message andtelephone. Method: This study is a quasi-experimental interventional study in which Kerman's population was in the field of coronavirus prevention. The study sample was 100 people. The two groups of intervention and control were randomly selected by telephone with the telecommunication code based on the inclusion criteria. Tool for studying researchermade questionnaires 34 questions Self-care ability in three areas: cognitive 14 questions (correct - false), performance ten questions (Yes - No) and caregiver beliefs including ten three-point Likert questions (agree to disagree) were completed Content validity of the research tool by citing credible sources and consulting medical professors, and to determine the reliability, internal consistency of Cronbach's alpha coefficient questions It was calculated that r = 0.8 for cognitive ability questionnaire, 0.76 for performance questionnaire and 0.7 for belief questionnaire. The normality of data distribution, independent t-test, paired t-test and Pearson correlation coefficient was used to analyze the data. Statistical analyzes were performed at the error level of 0.05 using SPSS 18 software. Results: 42 (42%) were male, and 58 (58%) were female. The average age of the audience was 35.7 12 12.4, 51 (51%) with postgraduate and lower education, 34 participants (34%) with bachelor's degree and 15 participants (15%) with master's degree and The mean self-care score of the intervention group was significantly higher than the control group (p <0.05). Conclusion: Based on the results, self-care education effectively prevents and deals with the crisis of coronavirus infection. Tele Nursing in the home care network to maintain the health of patients and prevent congestion in the hospital is one of the recommendations of the World Health Organization. Therefore, continuous care and use of telephone nursing is a necessity in nursing.
