چکیده مقاله:
Background: During the menstrual cycle, women experience many hormonal changes, which can affect many body activities. Scientific Documents The severity of the complications of Covid-۱۹ at different stages of the menstrual cycle in women is very small. Therefore, the present study was designed to systematically review the present study on this relationship. Method: SID, Cochrane Library, PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, Science direct databases were searched. The keywords included search for Covid-۱۹, menstrual cycle, sex hormones, estrogen, Clinical trial and the combination of these words. The year of publication of articles ۲۰۱۹ to ۲۰۲۰ was considered and duplicate articles were deleted. finding: The results show that estrogen stimulates the immune response to viral infections. In respiratory diseases, low estrogen levels aggravate the symptoms. High levels of estrogen can protect women from the most serious side effects of Covid-۱۹. Progesterone can also suppress the immune response to pathogens. Shortly before ovulation and shortly after ovulation, estrogen levels in women are high and progesterone levels are low. In the early follicular and late luteal periods, the menstrual cycle has low estrogen levels. Conclusion: Increasing estrogen levels and lowering progesterone levels can help reduce the symptoms of Covid-۱۹ disease. During the menstrual cycle, shortly before ovulation and shortly after ovulation, we will see fewer symptoms of Covid-۱۹ in women with the disease, and vice versa, early in the follicular and late luteal period, the symptoms of disease are more pronounced. Because estrogen levels are higher in the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle than in the follicular phase, it can be expected that the symptoms of Covid-۱۹ will be partially reduced after ovulation.
