چکیده مقاله:
Background: Lung cancer is one of the most common kind of cancer which is the reason for mortality of numbers in the world that affects physical and emotional dimension of patients like: fatigue, lower quality of life (QOL), anxiety, depression regarding the mental situation and dyspnea and loss of peripheral muscle strength and sleep disturbance. In cancer patients, exercise has been addressed as adjuvant treatment and it's also a health-enhancing rehabilitation intervention that improves surgical outcomes when added to baseline physical activity. Thus, this study aims to investigate the effect of lung cancer Patients (LCP) walking after lung surgery.Method: The review search was conducted by using key words of walking, postoperative, and lung cancer in Pub Med and Google Scholar,Cochrane databases from 2001 up to 2020. It includes 11 studies comparing postoperative situation of LCP whom do the exercise or not after lung surgery.Findings: According to selected articles, walking for patients with non-small cell lung is associated with enhancement in exercise capacity, subjective and objective aspects of sleeping for them. several positive points they can benefit from like improvement in mood and QOL and reduction in fatigue and depression. Furthermore, researches have been shown that when walking accompanied by social support and self -efficacy is more effective on LCP. Also, the home-based walking exercise program is a feasible and effective intervention method for managing anxiety and depression after lung surgery.Conclusion: The results demonstrate,walking after lung surgery is a health-enhancing rehabilitation, improves surgical outcomes, so nurses should promote patients to be out of bed as soon as it's possible. Consequently , according to the lack of study in IRAN ,it is suggested that a study with this aim places a priority on research projects.
