چکیده مقاله:

Background: Stress is a highly prevalent problem facing society today. Many pathways connect stress and obesity. Therefore, obesity is a common problem as well as stress, and can have negative impacts on different aspects of life. In this recent study, I focused (mainly) on finding the mechanisms that stress can lead to obesity via them.Method: In this reviewing article done in 1398, 5 full-text articles from different scientific-databases such as Pub Med, Sciencedirect and WileyOnlineLibrary were used that were written in(2005-2019).Finding: Stress and obesity are two growing and overwhelming problems in the world. Stress can affect on behavior by inducing overeating and consumption of foods that are high in calories, fat or sugar. Also by decreasing physical activity and by shortening sleep. Stress may contribute to an increased risk for obesity and other metabolic diseases. An unfavorable psychosocial environment has been associated with an increased prevalence of obesity among children. Stress can activate gherlin hormone. This hormone promotes the use of carbohydrates and finally causes hunger. Increased long-term cortisol levels are strongly related to abdominal obesity. Conclusion: As mentioned, both internal and external types of stress could cause different diseases, especially metabolic ones and obesity. We should create a safe, relaxed psychosocial environment for our children to decrease their obesity rate. Daily regular exercises both reduce obesity and stress and keep us healthy.
