Language is always difficult for teachers to teach and for students to learn, because the students have to learn many words and grammars in order to communicate successfully in the foreign language. To facilitate the learning, researchers seek to find SLA (second language acquisition) strategies for easy language learning. They find out that Audio-visual materials seem to be useful in 2nd/foreign language classes, facilitate SLA and make learners interested in learning. This study review three of the latest researches which examine advantages and disadvantages of using multi-media content on increasing knowledge of 2nd/ foreign languages. These three research studies were chosen from various international journals. The results of this study highlight the benefits and positive effects of performing audio/visual content on SLA, also it should be mentioned that using these strategies need time and special equipment and it is hard to use them in all circumstances. also we found out that the 2nd/foreign language knowledge of the learner can be achieved incidentally by watching movies and hearing words in meaningful and communicative contexts. Finally, a summary of each research study and future research solutions is provided.
