چکیده مقاله:

Regulated deficit irrigation (RDI) seems to be a promising measure foroptimization of crop yield and irrigation requirement. To evaluate the effectsof different RDI scenarios on yield and water productivity of quinoa undersaline conditions, the SWAP model was calibrated based on the results of fieldexperiments. The calibrated model was then subjected to successive levels of RDIat irrigation water salinities of 10 and 20 dS/m. RDI treatments included irrigationscheduling based on decreased relative transpiration and different matric potentialat 50 cm root depth. The results were compared with pre-defined schedules withsame salinities. Simulation results showed significant decrease in irrigationrequirement and improve in water productivity (WP) for SWAP scheduledcompared with defined schedule. The best RDI approach for improving WP atboth salinity levels was irrigation at 60% relative transpiration. This treatment ledto quinoa grain yields of 2215 and 1910 Kg/ha at irrigation salinities of 10 and 20dS/m respectively.
