Evaluation of the cultural context at the entrance of Kerman city (Case Study:Parvaz Sqare)

Urban spaces remind people cultural and historical symbolic aspects. The entrance to the cities, especially considering culture factor at designing, represents the originality and identity of the city. This is a qualitative research based on descriptive-analytical methods. Initially, it was attempted to review the theories and theorists’ views and then influential components on the cultural context were discussed. The result showed that there are some weaknesses and problems including inappropriate urban walls, Cultural and physical mismatch with the context, lack of proper flooring and not considering cultural symbols.The research process is divided into two parts. The first part includes library and documentary studies (books, journals, articles, websites, etc.), which focuses on studies in the field of culture, and the second part, field research and questionnaires providing statistics that they were analyzed by SPSS software. Although some characterizations can be used in the body of entrance, applications and activities should be exhibited due to the type of access to the entrance.
