چکیده مقاله:

Thanks to their extraordinary electrical and optical properties, gold nanostructures present interesting applications in fabricating electronics, optical and magnetic nanodevices [1,2]. Many studies have been done to design of various gold nanostructures such as nanorods [3,4], nanowires [5,6], nanotubes [7] and nanosheets [8,9]. Catalytic activity of various gold nanostructures depends on their shapes. Different shapes present different surface facets and sites with different catalytic activities [10]. Among these nanostructures, gold nanosheets due to having a large proportion of low coordinated atoms (they reveals unusually low gold–gold coordination numbers especially in the sharp corners and sharp edges) show unusual catalytic activity, distinct molecular activation ability as well as good molecular adsorption ability [10] . Scientists have tried to design simple and fast methods for large scale preparation of gold nanosheets. However, synthesis of high quality and stable gold nanosheets remains unachieved because of difficulty in preparing [10]. Polymers, liquid crystals and surfactants have been widely used as dispersing and stabilizing agents to prepare gold nanosheets [11,12]. Generally, avoiding the surfactant contamination and additives in the gold nanosheets syntheses procedure is difficult and it makes the synthetic procedure and related operations complex [12]. Zhanghao et al. [12] reported simple and fast method for synthesis of large size single crystal gold nanosheets by microwave heating of HAuCl4 in ionic liquid (IL), 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (bmimBF4), without any additional template agent.
