چکیده مقاله:

English teacher passion for their work has a tremendous impact on the English language teaching process. Simply put the desire to progress along with trying increases Knowledge and teachers’ career satisfaction. So, It improves the efficiency of teaching English. Therefore, this research aimed to investigate teaching career decisions and professional aspiration among Iranian TEFL M.A candidates were examined in terms of their age, gender and experience. Accordingly, a questionnaire consists of three sections including 3 demographic questions and 20 likert scale items examining the teacher’s reasons for entering the teaching career in four categories intrinsic, extrinsic, altruistic, and other reasons. And 19 items examining the teacher’s professional aspiration in five categories planned effort, planned persistence, career choice satisfaction , professional development aspiration and leadership aspiration was utilized. The results showed that altruistic reasons are the main reasons for participants for selecting teaching as a career, And how will you strive to be an effective teacher, as the major factor for their professional aspiration. Also, based on one way ANOVA demographic characteristics were different in their significance
