Combined methods in soil and sediment remediation

Nowadays, advances in technology have caused environmental pollution. In spite of repeated warnings by researchers, pollutants enter the environment. Soil and sediment are two natural sources that have been altered by pollution. It is mainly due to human activities which have led to a change in the quality of them. These materials can be contaminated by a variety of hazardous pollutants such as heavy metals. This paper discusses the combined methods of soil and sediment remediation from heavy metals and introduces some of these methods. According to the obtained results by other researchers, combined methods have been successful in terms of efficiency and cost.
