Increase Productivity by Applying Lean Tools

Lean manufacturing is a relatively new process that tries to constantly improve efficiency by eliminating waste. The main idea in lean is to maximize customer value while minimizing waste. This fact has been widely discussed in every method that leads to higher profits for the stake holders such as productivity improvement in the organization which debates over increasing productivity by reducing the amount of input while producing same amount of output. There are a number of tools that have been developed to help with lean management, ever since it was introduced by Toyota. Using these tools is helpful because many of these tools are widely applicable in the industry. The most important aspect about these tools is that they can be applied within an existing organization; hence there is no need to overhaul entire company. Different applicable tools in lean organizations are introduced in this paper.
