A Survey :Wireless Sensor Network Attacks and Countermeasures

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) consist of many sensor nodes for monitoring environment that transmits sensed data to base station is a sink. Nowadays, WSNs are suitable in many applications such as battlefield, agricultural environment sensing, habitat monitoring, environment observation and forecast system, health and other commercial applications. In these networks, node’s communications are wireless thus devastating factors like noises, electromagnetic waves, can disturbance them. In addition to malicious nodes are able to permeate the network and destroy reading of neighbor nodes. According to WSNs have restricted resource abilities of the hardware i.e. memory, processing power and batteries. Thus implementation a security approach has many challenges. In this paper, we survey varies current attacks and their defense mechanisms to decrease attack impact on network.
