Determination of Cu, Fe and Mn by Flame-AAS after Preconcentration using Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate Coated Alumina Modified with Complexing Agent

A sensitive and simple method for the simultaneous determination of nutritionally important minerals in real samples is in great demand. Atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) coupled with preconcentration method is shown to be an appropriate technique forthis objective. The method is based on the formation of mineral complexes1- (4-boromo phenyl) -4,5-di phenyl – 2 – para - tolyl-1-H Imidazole. (BPPTI) supported on sodiumdodecyl sulphate (SDS) coated alumina.
