Production planning with machine deterioration and variable production and maintenance times under inflation and time value of money

Nowadays, as market conditions become more competitive, organizations must seek to increase efficiency and optimize their production operations in order to survive. For this reason, they need to consider different factors in order to optimize their schedule and respond to customer requests in a timely manner. Our issue is production planning and scheduling according to machine deterioration and effects of inflation and the time value of money in a single machine environment for multiple products over multiple periods. The machine deteriorates with time, and this will gradually increase the production time and the possibility of product failure. In this paper, using the mathematical model presented and with the aim of maximizing the company s benefit, we try to obtain the quantity of production for each product in any period. This problem will be implemented according to the conditions considered and for a numerical example in GAMS software.
