چکیده مقاله:

Determination petrophysical properties of the core samples, plays an important role in the optimal production of hydrocarbon reservoirs. Study of reservoir rock properties is one of the important current issues in the final evaluation and fields Development. Therefore, studying the petrophysical properties of the reservoir, such as porosity, permeability, saturation and rapid analysis of these properties is very important. One of the methods to studying reservoir properties is sampling of reservoir rock. Although the traditional core analysis methods are helpful in the study of petrophysical properties, but have high cost and time-consuming process. The purpose of this paper is to introduce a new method forlaboratory core analysis, Digital Rock Physics (DPR) and comparison of traditional with this new method. DRP is a fast evolving tool for rock property characterization that holds potential for reducing turnaround times for laboratory-based petro physical analysis, as well as for geologic scenario testing.
