چکیده مقاله:

Wastewaters are major environmental concerns of the dye-consuming industries. Although organic dyesare widely used in the industry but the untreated effluents containing dyes have carcinogenic, mutagenicand harmful effects on the aquatic life. In recent years, many techniques have been developed for theremoval of synthetic organic dyes. Among these methods, photocatalytic ozonation process has shownpromising results due to its high efficiency. In this study, MoS2 nanosheets were produced through thehydrothermal method and characterized. Acid Blue 113, commonly used as a textile dye, wasphotocatalytically degraded using MoS2nanacatalyst under irradiation of visible light and ozonation.Response surface methodology (RSM) based on central composite rotatable design (CCRD) wasemployed to study and optimize the treatment process. The effects of several operating parameters such aspH, the amount of MoS2 and irradiation time were also examined. At the optimum conditions of pH=7, 45mg nanocatalyst, 17 min and 0.40 g. l-1. h-1ofozone,complete removal of the dye was achieved. Theproposed system can be effectively applied to the treatment of wastewaters containing organic dyes.
