Integrated Resonant Nano-Structure: Multiple Bowtie Nanoantenna on a Silicon Substrate

An integrated plasmon resonance structure composed of four gold bowtie nanoantennas placed on a same dielectric substrate is studied in this paper considering plasmon resonance characteristics. The proposed coupled nano plasmonic-photonic structure in which the nanoantennas resonate at the same wavelength λ = 1.55µm, enables concurrent multiple confinement and enhancement of optical field within the same design. The integrated system can be utilized in different applications ranging from communication, nanolaser, and optical source to data storage, nano sensors, etc.
