the naturae of iranian oil companies shows that many staff is retiring in several next years obviously a great nembers of these staff are managers and experts in different fields. Deploying knowledge of these people before retiring is one of the most important problems in oil companies in iran . also many times have occurred that created knowledge by a company is necessary for othe companies but there is not any information about knowledge or owners of knowledge. absence of appropriate structure in knowledge registration and transfer causes short lifetime of these knowledge and consequently they woulk destroy fast . the solution is to establish a comprehensive system called knowledge center first this paper will survey knowledge management situation in NIGC and then it will mention key factors.
