چکیده مقاله:

carbon nanotubes are a new form of carbon elements. Nanotubes NTs exhibit unique physical and chemical properties as being -one dimensional material. Due to these properties carbon nanotubes have found a variety of potential applications in nanoelectronics biomedical , electromagnetics, electrochemical fields. also CNT composites are widely applicable in automotive gas lines and filters and are useful for hydrogen storage support for metal catalysts and etc. three typical synthesis methods have been developed for the production of CNTs, including the conventional arc discharge in gas, laser vaporization and chemical vapor deposition CVD that requires complicated equipments . arc discharge in liquid environments is a recently development new method of synthesizing CNTs. this method does not require any complicated equipments. consequently , this method is extremely simple and cheap. properties of carbon nanotubes obtained by this method are affected by various parameters such as the voltage , current , types of the catalyst , types of solution and so on. in here , a full - automatic Arc - discharge set-up was used for fabrication of CNTs, and subsequently a modified acid treatment method applied for purification stage.
