چکیده مقاله:
Establishment of a suitable solar photoreactor is always one of the significant challenges of photocatalytic processes. Photoreactors with compound parabolic collector (CPC) are one of the best solar photoreactors used for photocatalytic treatment of wastewater. In this study, first the structure of the CPC photoreactor, its various parts, and importance of the concentration ratio in fabricating a phtoreactor were investigated, different applications of the CPC photoreactor in the photocatalytic treatment process then was discussed. It was found that the CPC consists of two main parts, the reflector and the receiver of radiation. The radiation-reflecting part includes two parabolic section which increasing the length of these parabolas causes increasing in the concentration ratio. A higher concentration ratio in the CPC photoreactor improves the absorption of sunlight. The results of resaerches indicate that the length of the parabolas should be optimal. Also, CPC photoreactor has been used as a pilot plant in various photocatalytic treatment processes, in which the removal efficiency up to over 90% has been observed
