چکیده مقاله:

One of the main limitations in application of polymers, particularly thermoplastic polymers such as low density polyethylene,is their poor thermal properties. In this research morphology and creep behavior of nano-composites made from low density polypropylene reinforced whit nano-particles were studied. Thereby, the specimens of nano-composites with 5, 8 and 10 weight percent of CaCO3 nano-particles were prepared by injection molding method.SEM and TEM microscope used to investigation morphology and nanoparticles distribution. The properties of LDPE/ CaCO3 nano-composite were investigated through differential scanning calorimetery (DSC) and thermo mechanical analyzer (TMA) and tensile creep tests. The results of DSC tests showed that the addition of CaCO3 nanoparticles to LDPE caused to increase the heat capacity, sensible heat and crystallinity index. The TMA results illustrated an increase in dimensional stability of LDPE as nano-sized of CaCO3 addition. The results of tensile creep tests showed the addition of nano-particles decreases creep strain and creep strain rate.
