چکیده مقاله:

One of the reasons for capturing CO2 is to prevent increasing global temperature and climate change. In this work, an absorption solvent such as monoethanolamine (MEA) has been chosen to absorb the flue gas from a cement factory. The effects of the process parameters such as temperature, the number of trays and mass fraction percentage have been investigated using HYSYS and Design Expert software to optimize the process. Methods of Response Surface Methodology (RSM) and central composite design (CCD) have been applied to find the best rate of CO2 absorption. At the optimal condition, mass fraction of MEA and process efficiency was 23.75% and 94.2%, respectively. Whereas, in the industrial operating condition, mass fraction of MEA is 28% and process efficiency is 97%. Therefore, approximately 5% less MEA mass fraction has been used in this work, which is equal to 181.2 Tone per hour of MEA.
