چکیده مقاله:

The idea of buildings in harmony with nature can be traced back to ancient time. Theincreasing concerns on sustainability oriented building have added new challenges inbuilding architectural design and called for new design responses.The concept of fractals has brought about exhilarating and innovative changes deepening andbroadening our understanding about the nature, culture and science .Fractals are formed bya repetition of patterns, shapes or a mathematical equation. Formation is dependent on theinitial format .Not only in nature, fractals are also seen in the study of various disciplinessuch as physics , mathematics, economics ,medicine and architecture. For a variety ofreasons, in different cultures and geography, many times the fractal pattern had reflected oncreating the architecture. Architecture accomplishes some of the basic human needs namelyaesthetics functionality and sustainability. Fractal geometry could play a role in developingnew forms of aesthetics and sustainable architectural design. The following research paperwill discuss about fractals, fractals to adaptability and evolution ability of building byimplementing fractal geometry and how further they can be related to sustainability.
