چکیده مقاله:

In this study, hot corrosion of chromite- corundum refractory was an investigation in the soda-lime glass melt. The purpose of this study was to investigate the refractory corrosion behavior in the glass industry and its lifetime, as well as the effect of refractory on glass produced in the contacting of this refractory. Initial refractory studies including density, chemical analysis and elemental analysis also determined the cold crush In order to better identify the sample. The hot corrosion test of refractories was immersed in glass melt at 1400-1500 oC for 6, 8 and 10 hours in direct contact with molten. After time test samples were cold down in environment condition. It was observed that with increasing test time, the refractory weight 0.21, then 0.48 and finally decreased to 0.91 g, the refractory size was reduced by 0.1, 0.4, and 0.8 mm. Also, the area affected by the melt increased time 5, 5.1, and 5.2 mm, respectively. The dissolved elements in the melt caused a significant change in the color of the final glass. The diffusion elements in refractories did not overcome corrosion. The refractory corrosion rate with was increased by increasing the time of direct placement in the melt, respectively, increasing time, 1.6, 2.8 and 4.2 centimeters per year increased significantly.
