دکتر امیری توسط الزویر و دانشگاه استنفورد، ایالات متحده، در بین دو درصد دانشمندان برتر جهان شناخته شده است. او عضو هیئت علمی دانشگاه است و ارتباطات زیادی با مؤسسات فعال در زمینه طب سنتی دارد و متون مربوطه را بررسی میکند. او در زمینه گیاهان دارویی تخصص دارد و بیش از ۱۰۰ مقاله تحقیقاتی در مجلات معتبر بینالمللی مختلف و ۱۰ فصل کتاب در ناشران الزویر و اشپرینگر منتشر کرده است. دکتر امیری همچنین در هیئت داوران چندین مجله معتبر بوده است. علاوه بر این، او در پروژههای تحقیق و توسعه گیاهان دارویی مشارکت داشته و از پروژههای مختلفی در این زمینه حمایت میکند. علاوه بر این، کسب و کار خانوادگی او طب گیاهی (گیاهان دارویی سنتی) است که ریشه در بیش از ۱۰۰ سال دارد. بر اساس بیش از ۲۰ سال تلاش علمی و تجربیات عملی منحصر به فرد حاصل از میراث خانوادگیاش در طب گیاهی، زندگی خود را وقف پیشبرد دانش گیاهان دارویی و محصولات طبیعی با هدف آموزش عمومی جامع، افزایش آگاهی اجتماعی و سود رساندن به بشریت کرده است.
