Epistemological view of Fakhr Razi and Khaje Nasir Al- Din Tusi about universals.

Abstract

Concerning the problem of universals there are resemblencos and convergence in doctrines of Fakhr Razi and Khaje Nasir Al- Din Tusi. But there are important differences as well. This article aims at study of theirs epistemological attitude to problem of universals. Consider in this goal, following topics should be studied. cognitive status of universals, differen kinds of them intellection of universals, non corporealness of universal and its abstraction. The prominent point is the maximal rationalism of the two thinke which pave ground just for rational (universal) kind of knowledge. This feature in itself leads to insignification of empivical and natural scienses. In order to revive and form the modern sciense we should reconsider the problem of universals.
