In this paper Molecular dynamics (MD) simulations are performed on single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) to investigate the effect of twist speed and temperature on torsional properties. The Brenner’s second generation potential is used to describe the interactions between carbon atoms. Dependence of the torsional shear modulus and buckling onset on the temperature and torsion speed of the SWCNT are examined and the reversibility of torsional buckling process is investigated.
